Haiku Poetry

Haiku is a single thought expressed in three nonrhyming lines. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables. These poems are most often about nature.

Ex.1.
Soft slippery mud,
covered with pigs and piglets,
always starts with fun.

Ex2.
Light blue skies above,
shining with puffy white clouds,
floating through the air.

Ex3.
Light drops, heavy drops,
sprinkling or pouring down,
making flowers bloom.

Ex.4
Hard, flat, smooth or rough,
variety of colors,
makes gardens pretty.
