Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful baby girl named Cindy Ellen who lived in Marietta, Oklahoma. She lived very happily with her mother and father. But it all changed when Cindy's mother died in a car crash when she was 18. Then, 2 years later, Cindy's dad married a mean woman named Nancy who had 2 17 year old girls named Karen and Natasha. Ever since they arrived, they made Cindy's life miserable. It was always "Cindy do this!" and "Cindy do that!" But she never complained. Still, it really irritated her. But really irritated her the most, was that her dad never said anything in her defence! So then, on a beautiful Saturday morning, a fancy looking letter arrived from the Prince. It said: Dear Single Ladies of Oklahoma, My son, Prince Charles, has invited you to a ball at Town Square at 8:00 P.M. sharp on this Sunday. Please wear your best clothes. Signed, King Sam "Mom!" Cindy squealed. " Oh, can I please go?! Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaase?" "Oh, all right." she replied.
With that, Cindy ran off to her room. "Mom!" Karen hissed. "What were you thinking?!" " Yeah, mom. Why?!" Natasha added. " Don't worry girls. I'll make sure that she won't even make it out of the house tomorrow night." her mom said slyly. The next morning, all Cindy did was work. So, as if a miracle, Cindy finished all of her chores. At 7:30, Cindy came down the stairs looking more beautiful than Karen or Natasha. They were so jealous! suddenly, the 2 girls ran up to Cindy and tore her clothes to shreds. " Hey!" Cindy protested. " What was that for?!" "ops! My bad!" they said at the same time. With that Natasha and Karen skipped off to the ball. Then, she cried. " Why are you crying, dear?" asked a voice from the corner. An old woman suddenly appeared in front of her. " I was supposed to go to the ball, But-" she stopped. "Well, you know the rest." Don't worry." she replied. With that, she waved her wand, and POOF! Cindy's clothes turned into the most beautiful set of hoedown clothes that the state of Oklahoma has ever seen. "Now, before you go, remember: all of your beautiful clothes will disappear at the stroke of midnight." she said. Cindy nodded. with that she ran off. When she arrived, every eye was locked on her; even Prince Charles's! " Would you like to dance?" he asked as he walked up to her. "Sure." she replied as she blushed. So then hours pasted, and Cindy lost track of time. DING! DING! Cindy looked up at the clock. It was 11: 58! " I have to go!" Cindy yelled as she bolted away. Then, just as she got out of sight, her beautiful clothes disappeared. When she looked down, she saw that she had one of her boots, but, Prince Charles had the other.
The next morning, the doorbell rang, and Cindy answered the door. It was the prince! "Does this boot belong to any of you?" he asked. "I t belongs to me!" Cindy exclaimed. With that, she ran up to her room, grabbed the boot, came back down stairs, and then put on both boots. "Its a perfect fit!" he said. They both smiled. Then, 2 days later, they got married and they lived happily ever after.
