Teacher thoughts...

Demmoo wrote a post that was posted late Friday afternoon called "Freedom" that got me thinking. You'll have to click on older posts to scroll down to it since he started it in early December, but it's definitely a worthwhile read. I am always so amazed at the thoughts you guys share and he touched on two of my most favorite heroes, Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln.

Whether you know a lot of facts about these two men, what is important to remember about them is how they changed the world with just their words. Today, too often some are quick to fight and become easily angered. But these men chose to fight with words. I think that's an awesome reminder of how words have enormous power! Just think about how your words have reached out to so many others in so many countries! Your words are changing your readers as well as yourselves. Keep it up Texans! I am so very proud of you and all of your accomplishments. I know that one day I will be reading of how your words changed history too!
